Heaven is Good

I never worry that I will be remembered, because Heaven has a memory of its own and that may very well last forever. Of course I do believe in my own mortality but the Kingdom of Heaven holds more possibilities than life itself. I think about my physical self and all that substance that has ever been a part of me. All that stuff has been a part of the Earth since the Earth was formed and before it became me. And all that stuff will continue to be a part of the Earth long after the life is gone. I can hardly imagine that anyone is going to pay to have my corpse shipped off-planet. This is my foothold in eternity, but of course nothing that has a beginning can be described as eternal. Life does have a definate beginning, and even the Universe itself is believed to have a beginning. We understand very well what it means to be alive, and yet some people believe in the possibility of eternal life. The Kingdom of Heaven is yet to be established here on Earth, but in his own time Jesus said that the kingdom is at hand. I think that the only thing that can be established about the eternal kingdom is that this is it. If it did not exist here and now then it would in some way be limited. And the Earth does exist as a planet orbiting our sun, which is just one star among billions, in a galaxy among billions of galaxies. The firmament above the sky, the place where all the stars reside, this is what the ancients called Heaven. For some reason Heaven has become a place of unmanifestation to most people, seperate from the Universe, but its not. No such place truely exists, manifestation is everything that matters. We do not go to Heaven when we die, we come to Heaven when we are born or conceived. And clearly it is not the place of perfect tranquility where nothing ever happens. Creation and destruction are always at play here. It is a place where we struggle in order to survive, and battles are fought and won or lost. It's hard to imagine anything better than life as a mere human-being, but perhaps there are better possibilities. IF only we had options to choose from, then a choice could be made. Some people believe in a pre-existance, these people say that we did choose to be here. But the vision of John in Revelations tells a different story, the angels and the demons of heaven fell to Earth. Personally I don't beleive that a theory of personal choice really explains our world very well. Clearly no-one ever gets to make all the decisions in our world, we don't always have options to choose from. We don't always get to vote it seems. There has always been a bit of competition over who will get to make the decisions. Arguments of opinion often become heated, we become angry when other people don't agree with us, and quite often anger resolves into violent behaviour. The first man to become angry, and shakes his fist in the air and walks away, loses the argument. We can't really afford to ignore the people who disagree with us, the world isn't big enough to walk away. But is it really all that important what the people choose to believe in? Its not what a man thinks that matters, but how he acts, and what he does in the world. I think its true that our beliefs govern our behaviour to a degree, but our emotions govern it more. Our feelings govern how we think. When a person does experience feelings of hopelessness, they can not help but think of death and the desire for an end. But can we help it that we feel a certain way? In some respects we learn how we should feel about things from the community, from all those people that we would account for our personal heros. A person can not be blamed for the lack of good examples, if the quality of our education is somehow flawed, how can we be held accountable for that?

I don't really believe that we need a great deceiver to explain human nature. People are pefectly capable of deception on thier own power, without external motivation. Sometimes I wonder if there really is a storyteller God, like a good parent who writes a fable in order to instruct their children. But I think that the one true and most high God is a God which reveals only truth. Perhaps there is another God who wanted to see the people divided, and an angry God. But that is not the real God, I don't believe that God is angry. I don't believe that God would practice deception as the means of giving instruction. But if Moses can be trusted, the source of the Genesis story is some higher power. Evidently the Genesis story is not literal truth, or else the world was created as a deception. But creation is exactly what it appears to be I think, long on history. The Earth is old, and while humanity hasn't been a part of the Earth since the start, it is at least 100,000 years old. Unfortunately the God of Moses wanted the world divided or it never would have promised land, especially land that was already occupied. But still it is a possibility that Moses was simply dishonest about certain things. Its far easier to believe that Moses applied his own judgement to the circumstances than to think he was advised by higher powers. For all that he may have done more harm than good, i guess that he can still be forgiven. But his legacy lives on in our world today. Some people seem to prefer deception in the face of evidence, they prefer to trust Moses because the man did great things. And by all appearances Moses did have some kind of help from higher powers, because the man was a true king. Clearly Moses loved his own people more than he loved anyone else. So therefore Moses was a King of certain limitations because he did not care for humanity without preference. Jesus was a better King in that he did care for humanity and pleaded our cause before the Heavenly Father that he believed in. But the Heavenly Father himself is the King of Kings, who is responsible for all the people. And this is the person with the authority to make a decision, to punish the people or become our benefactor or to do nothing at all. It is believed that this person will have authority because of some divine power, but is this person truely a God or a man?

Heaven is the one true Lord of Creation, of all the angels and the demons, and Heaven is not a man. No matter how much power Heaven allows us to have over the world, we can never become Gods. There is and only can be One most high God, and as much as we all may be God's children, we can never become like God. But we can be empowered by faith in some way, and get favors from Heaven. We only have to ask for the things we want, and everyone has the power to ask, but Heaven must be willing. I trust God completely but I fear and love Heaven with all my heart. Because I want life, and life can only be had while being a part of this Universe. I would be happy to remain a man of limitations for a very long time, there is no reason to hurry away from home and strike out on our own. We can take our time, we can relax and enjoy the experience, Heaven has much to offer.

Intelligent Design

There is good evidence for intelligent design in this ongoing process of creation. We just don't see the person behind it all, and no-one that we know of is that old. They would have to preceed life and the stars themselves. But there is such a person, and that person was born much like we are born. Everything has a beginning, only God and his kingdom are eternal. So who is this person and what are they like?

God has given us everything that there is to give more or less; and it's continual giving. God is everpresent to the furthest corners of creation, and most people don't have a full appreciation for how much we depend on God's presence. We only see seperation, but the seperation does not exist, it has always been an erroneous idea. Despite the fact that we have made this misstaken assumption a great deal of concern has been given to answering the question of why seperation exists. Eventually it has been determined that it is a problem of purity, and this story has been retold in the world again and again.

The Universe itself is undivided, and it resists all our efforts to impose division upon it. But clearly we can see the evidence for a multitude of people here in the Universe. There are many individual persons and NOT one person here in creation. We have always believed that consciousness is a phenomena of life, but this may not be true. Consciousness is a phenomena of God's presence in the Universe; without God, consciousness would not be a possibility here. But its more than a possibility, its a fact, and this is the best evidence that we have for a God. We should agree that there must be one source for all these personalities. One source of all inspiration, it is the same for each of us.

Yes I think that the Ancient Dragon is real, but it is not the same thing as God. It is our creator, and the original personality behind intelligent design. I would like to count this person as a good friend, and whether or not it will do me any favors, it has won my heart. I love manifestation more than anything else, it's a wonderful thing. For lack of a better name I simply refer to this person as Heaven. And I know that our world is not being controlled by evil spirits, it is being controlled by people who have the power to make choices. No such spirits exist in pure form, and everything that does exist depends upon manifestation entirely. There may never be one great battle to liberate the Earth from Evil, no Armageddon. There is only this battle to learn and grow, and to reach maturity. Maturity implies responsibility and civil behaviour. Wisdom knows that we are inter-dependent, our own welfare depends upon the welfare of others. Because we are inseperable companions in a very durable Universe, the Kingdom of Heaven. And of course we do live and exist in the greater Eternal Kingdom as well.

The Christians have great faith in a saviour, and the world shouldn't need another saviour if that job has been well done. But Jesus was only concerned for our immortal souls, he broke the chains of death that might otherwise bind us. If we believe in it, we should not be concerned for the world because our place in the greater kingdom of eternity is secure. But I do care for the world very much, life can be enjoyable, its not all about suffering here on Earth. The Earth is a beautiful place despite human habitation, and in most respects the people have made considerable improvements to the world. But at the same time humanity does pose the greatest threat to the Earth. Not that we have the power to destroy it, because we don't. But we can make it unfit for human habitation. I never really understood why so many Christians hope for a Heaven of unmanifest spirits, when they have been given the promise of a ressurection here on Earth. What could be better for us than more life on Earth? But there must still be an Earth to live on. Maybe the people don't need another saviour, but the Earth still does need to be saved.

What Price Convienience?

We are all inter-dependant on a global scale, and on a large scale of time as well. For most of us, life has become very convienient because of other people's labor and accomplishments. No matter how we may be gainfully employed, we can never contribute enough to make up for all the advantages we enjoy. Now it may be true that we have paid in full for our fine homes that we live in; but this is not always a fair exchange labor for labor. Because one man's time can never be valued, instead we are paid according to the job that was done.

The software industry is very much like the literary industry. Anyone should be able to aquire the skill to produce a work of fiction, provided they have a little imagination. And it is work in order to produce the finished product, and something of quality takes time. But once the work has been completed, then we have something of value that can be sold. If a person has some innate talent for this work, then who should they thank for that? If a person gets some inspiration, then where does it come from? Whatever that source may be, it is the same for all of us.

No-one may be prohibited from drawing water from the well, but not all vessels are of the same size. Our vessels are limited in a variety of ways, education may be an effective way to overcome some of that limitation. There is no substitute for personal experience, and there is nothing in the world more valuable than good experience. We carry the water from the wellspring, and the vessels we use come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Our ability to receive from the one source, whatever that is, is not fixed; we are able to grow over time and change.

It's a very good thing that we can become more than we are, we usually want more. Clearly we have not all been equally blessed from the start. Whether it be due to our cicumstances or genetics its clear that all persons ARE NOT created equal. Yet I think its fair to say that each of us is a child of our creator and God. Because we are inter-dependent, no one of us may ever be more or less important than another. No matter how great one person's accomplishments in life may be, they can never be elevated above the least successful one of us. Because humanity is one species and one family, we are each related in some way to abosolutely everyone else and all those people who came before us. I believe that UNITY is fundamental to our reality, our Universe and our Heaven. Among those rights which our creator HAS gaurenteed, the right to good companionship should be counted as one.

No matter what we can become in life, we will ALWAYS have peers. And whether our accomplishments in life have been great or small, we have each excerted some influence over the world. There are 14 billion individual human beings; of those who now live or have ever lived, 14 billion is a nice round number and a fair estimate.
Now everyone of the 14 billion will win the game of life together, or else we will all lose together. Who will decide if the people are deserving? Most of us would like to decide that SOME of the people are NOT deserving. Most of us do not feel grateful for all the companions we have, and clearly some of these companions we would not choose. But sometimes we don't get to make a choice. But winning the game of life is a choice, survival is a choice if we must struggle for it.

Only we can not win the game at cost to someone else, our success depends on their success. We simply can not win by killing off all the bad people, unless we become bad people in order to do the job. The problem of violence may never be solved through violent means. The problem of anger can not be solved by proving who is angrier. The problem of hatred can not be solved so long as we live in fear of the great loss.

In a Universe where Resurrection is a possibility, we should never fear the loss of our own lives. We should only fear the loss of that promise. But its very hard to be convinced that the promise is real and the Resurrection a possibility. Even if it is a promise it still appears to be conditional. It's not always clear what those conditions amount to exactly; but one thing is crystal clear, the millenium of peace on Earth. For our world to be freed of all armed conflict seems unlikely, too many people would have to sacrifice the authority that they have. All those billions of man-hours dedicated to the technologies of warfare may come to nothing overnight. As soon as people decide that peace is worth fighting for, swords into plowshares. A world at peace is preferable to desolation, we just need to see a convincing argument that the species is at risk. One man can annihilate whole populations at the push of a button, but still this is not enough to convince everyone. When the whole world can be destroyed by the will of one man, and every person can see that the threat is real, then the people WILL be motivated.
